Anne Furey has been our home decorator for more than 10 years now. We have loved doing every project with Anne, and each time, the results are more than we could ever have imagined. She has created an entire new office/library for us from stud walls, and it is our absolute favorite room in the house, full of rich fabrics, lamps, carpets, custom built ins, and a partners’ desk that created exactly the look and feel my husband and I dreamed about. Recently, she did my 12 year old son's room over, with his input. His friends think his small room is the "coolest" space around. She created a yoga studio out of dining room, and a warm boutique hotel-like space out of our previously cold and boring living room.
Anne has redecorated practically every other room in our home with things we already owned, using her “one day use what you have” approach when we weren't ready to redo things completely.
Not only is her taste impeccable and wonderful, she allows the best of her client's tastes to come through as well --creating the best outcome possible. She is smart, resourceful, and sees the beauty in various styles and time periods. Beyond the creative input and style which Anne is full of, she is so fun and easy to work with. She accepts all input, she is patient and respectful. Rather than impose her taste on her client, she listens to what they like, and helps them achieve their own nirvana! And when I, as the client, have been unhappy with any result, which has only happened one time in over 10 years, she makes amends, does it right and accepts total responsibility. This is beyond rare in any industry. To work with Anne is pure pleasure, and the result is a room, house, project that is the best of both worlds… your own personal tastes and the help of a visionary designer who knows how to create spaces her clients will love for a long time to come.

We brought Anne in to stage our house before putting it on the market. Based on her advice, we removed wallpaper, painted walls, removed some furniture and updated lighting. Additionally, Anne purchased art, home decor items and linens to liven up the rooms. After seeing the results, our realtor actually increased the asking price for the house and we then sold the house within one week of our open house…for more than our original price. When I asked the buyer what attracted him to the house, he told me that after two years of house hunting, this was the first place he saw where he immediately felt at home. I am totally convinced that Anne's staging and our relatively small investment resulted in a 5-10% increase in the selling price of the house…and a faster sale than I ever imagined.

When we moved to Rhode Island 2 ½ years ago and bought a large 15-year-old house on Providence’s East Side, we were overwhelmed. Very few of our possessions seemed to fit into the new space. We would have to decorate and furnish virtually the entire house.
Anne Furey was more than equal to the task! She has a knack of finding interesting and unique pieces. The wall colors, the furniture, the accessories fit so well with our taste, our lifestyle and even the “feel” of the house itself.
She is a pleasure to work with, friendly and easy–going on a personal level but very careful and exacting in her work. Any pieces that were less than perfect were returned. Her keen eye noticed that the painter chose the wrong paint for the front hall, causing the color to be slightly “off” and insisted that the job be redone properly. And most importantly, she is fair, honest, professional, and respectful of her clients’ tastes and schedules.

She choose all the wall colors to reflect the colors in the water of the bay which is visible out the window.
